Trick Flow® R-Series Intake Manifolds for Ford 429/460 are intended for 500-plus cubic inch, high-rpm engines using single Dominator-style carbs. The manifolds make significantly more power in the 3,500-8,000 rpm range thanks to a one-piece, spider-type design with high-flow extended runners and a raised plenum floor. Durable A319 aluminum construction, extra material for custom port work, and bosses for nitrous or fuel injection round out the features. Overall height to carburetor mounting pad is 6.740 in.

Trick Flow® TFX™ Fuel Injectors

With electronically drilled and machined disc-type fuel control valves, plus improved nozzles and coil windings, Trick Flow TFX™ fuel injectors atomize fuel better, resist clogging, are quieter, and require less energy to operate than other aftermarket injectors. The features don’t stop there. Low magnetic stainless steel injector bodies prevent corrosion from underhood contaminates and seal the injectors from moisture contamination. OEM-style clip grooves secure the injectors to fuel rails and eliminate possible fuel leaks. Viton® fluoroelastomer O-rings seal the injectors to the fuel rails and intake manifold to prevent fuel and air leaks under extreme operating conditions. High-quality, 1/2 micron filter screens keep foreign debris and contaminants from entering the injectors to ensure proper performance and a long life cycle. TFX fuel injectors are 100% duty cycle tested to ensure reliability and performance. All flow values are at 3 bar (43.5 psi).

Overall height to the carburetor mounting pad is 8.575 in. These R-Series A460 manifolds can only be used with Trick Flow® PowerPort® A460 series cylinder heads.

Trick Flow’s legendary Twisted Wedge 170 series cylinder heads are back and better than ever! The updated A356-T61 machined castings are borrowed from Trick Flow’s 11R series head lineup, bringing with it increased strength thanks to a .625" thick deck and a great-looking, billet-like appearance. The groundbreaking Twisted Wedge combustion chamber moves the intake valves away from the cylinder walls to reduce valve shrouding and significantly enhance high-lift flow. Altered 15° intake/17° exhaust valve angles tighten the combustion chamber to increase compression while improving piston-to-valve clearance. That allows the use of higher lift cams with stock pistons. CNC-profiled combustion chambers with relocated spark plug locations optimize combustion efficiency, extracting more power with less ignition timing and reducing the potential for detonation. The choice of 58cc or 61cc combustion chamber volumes allow builders to dial-in the perfect compression ratio. High-efficiency, Fast As Cast® runners feature a competition level, multi-angle valve job for near-CNC-ported power and airflow at cast head prices.
