Presenting the PowerPort® 175 cylinder heads—specially designed and engineered to deliver more go for 390-428 engines! The heads are a direct bolt-on for all 1961-76 engines. They’re made from top-quality A356-T61 aluminum so they’re much lighter but still as strong as OE castings. The intake runners have been optimized to increase flow velocity, and Trick Flow’s special CNC Street Ported treatment guarantees proper dimensional accuracy and balance between the runners. Trick Flow® R-Series Tunnel Wedge Intake Manifold for Ford 390-428
Ford FE fans know that when it comes to building a Ford FE engine, nostalgia and horsepower go hand-in-hand. One classic manifold that has never gone out of style is the rare Tunnel Wedge intake. It was a landmark design 50 years ago, but Trick Flow knew that with some modern ingenuity and manufacturing know-how they could make it even better. So Trick Flow’s high performance engineers went to work and the R-Series Tunnel Wedge Intake Manifold for Ford 390-428 was born. Part of the original Tunnel Wedge’s cool factor was its appearance, so Trick Flow took special care to match the looks of the legendary OEM version while maintaining the original carburetor locations. On the inside, Trick Flow made noticeable improvements to the port design while also incorporating a much-needed O-ringed sealed bottom plate. Cast in premium grade A319 aluminum, the manifold is topped with carb flanges machined for original Ford FE Tunnel Wedge-type square bore carburetors. Mounting hardware is included.

The updated A356-T61 machined castings are borrowed from Trick Flow’s 11R series head lineup, bringing with it increased strength thanks to a .625" thick deck and a great-looking, billet-like appearance. The groundbreaking Twisted Wedge combustion chamber moves the intake valves away from the cylinder walls to reduce valve shrouding and significantly enhance high-lift flow. Altered 15° intake/17° exhaust valve angles tighten the combustion chamber to increase compression while improving piston-to-valve clearance. That allows the use of higher lift cams with stock pistons. CNC-profiled combustion chambers with relocated spark plug locations optimize combustion efficiency, extracting more power with less ignition timing and reducing the potential for detonation. The choice of 58cc or 61cc combustion chamber volumes allow builders to dial-in the perfect compression ratio. High-efficiency, Fast As Cast® runners feature a competition level, multi-angle valve job for near-CNC-ported power and airflow at cast head prices. Kit TFS-K51802001 is designed for mild naturally aspirated street engines operating in the 1,500-5,000 rpm range. Kit TFS-K51802002 is ideal for mild street/strip engines with power adders (5-6 psi of boost maximum) and an operating range of 1,800-6,500 rpm. Kit TFS-K51802003 is recommended for naturally aspirated extreme duty engines. It delivers strong mid-range to top-end power up to 6,500 rpm. Kit TFS-K51802004 was developed for maximum duty race engines using power adders with boost pressures of 15-plus psi and operating in excess of 6,500 rpm. Each kit includes new camshafts, valve springs, chromoly retainers, valve locks, seals, 12mm bolts and washers, and installation instructions.
