These single plane manifolds feature a high-rise, one-piece spider design with high-flowing, individual extended runners for significant horsepower and torque increases in the 3,000-7,000 rpm range. A raised plenum floor increases flow velocity and fuel atomization. Additional features include OE 2V port locations and dimensions, A319 aluminum construction, integral bosses for nitrous or fuel injection nozzles, and extra material for custom port work. The manifolds have a Holley 4150-style carburetor mounting pad and work in all 2V and 4V applications. It all started when Trick Flow saw a void in the market for an ultra high-performance intake manifold for small block Chevy engines. They set their engineers to work, and what they came up with was the R-Series intake manifold—catered to large displacement engines capable of 600 or more horsepower in the 3,500-7,500+ RPM range. While optimized for Trick Flow Super 23® 230cc cylinder heads, this manifold also performs well on engines using any 220cc or larger port heads. Trick Flow’s development team used the latest CAD technology to create a one-piece single plane, spider-type design with a large, open raised floor plenum, paying special attention to maximizing airflow and equalizing air and fuel distribution. The well-balanced flow and minimal restriction are the keys to extracting the most performance available, giving users an edge over the competition. The team also focused on weight reduction by eliminating excess material where possible and casting it in strong yet lightweight A319 aluminum. Trick Flow made sure to leave enough material through the runner walls so the intake can be port matched, or even fully ported for builders wanting to extract every ounce of power from their engines.
